has anyone been to tortuga recently?

Tortuga is an island north of Haiti. In the 17th century it was a notorious pirate lair. I am trying to find out what it may be like now. I believe that the island suffered during a recent hurricane. Information is most welcome.

It's called Ile de la Tortue in French.
They did fear the worst during the storm Jeanne but it was not too badly affected.
